What is the Family CARE Community?

Family CARE strives to be community of people and organizations that are committed to improving the way mental health services are provided to McHenry County youth and their families. Our partners include parents, youth, juvenile justice, education, child welfare, child and adolescent service providers, legislators, the healthcare community, the faith-based community and community members invested in the emotional well-being of our county's youth and their families.

Through these partnerships, we will:

  • Provide the best mental health services for our youth
  • Identify gaps in service and implement solutions
  • Ensure community wide collaboration between professionals and family members
  • Break down barriers that keep our youth and their families from seeking treatment
  • Be sensitive to the backgrounds, values and cultures of our community

Family CARE partners strive to be culturally sensitive, strength-based, family-driven, youth-guided and committed to helping you find services that get results!

Family CARE is a funded partnership between SAMHSA (www.samhsa.gov), The McHenry County Mental Health Board (www.mc708.org), and the Illinois Department of Human Services/Division of Mental Health (http://www.dhs.state.il.us/page.aspx).
