Statistically, one in five people will experience a mental illness, yet less than half of those people seek treatment. It is the role of the social marketing committee to find ways to engage the community in learning more about mental illness, to reduce the stigma and encourage more people to seek services. This committee meets on the first Thursday of each month from 4pm–5pm at the Family CARE Grant Administration Office, 333 Commerce Drive in Crystal Lake. The committee members include youth, parents/caregivers, community partners and staff members.
