Youth Involvement

Want to have YOUR voice heard in a fun and comfortable environment?  Become a part of the Youth Council today!  This is a group of young people, between 14 and 24 years of age, living in McHenry County, who have been impacted by mental illness either personally, through family or through friends.  The purpose of the Youth Council is to:

  • Develop a diverse group of youth leaders
  • Reduce Stigma
  • Transform mental health services to engage more youth
  • Create a community of peer support and education

This group meets the second Wednesday of each month from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Mental Health Board. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.  Please call Elizabeth at 815-788-4360 for more information.
